The Marian Eagles waltzed into Friday's game with three straight wins but they left with four. They blew past Northbrook 76-17 on the road. The result was nothing new for Marian, who have now won four games by 22 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Marian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lamonte Butler, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 10 assists. The match was Butler's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Issa Gadiaga, who scored 16 points along with 7 assists and 5 rebounds.
Marian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Northbrook, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
Marian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Northbrook will be playing in front of their home fans against Dekaney at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
