Wheatland will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Lindhurst at Varsity at 7:30pm at 5:30 PM. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Wheatland had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against Marysville last Friday as they made off with a 31-0 win. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Wheatland had established a 25-0 advantage.
Meanwhile, Lindhurst were fully in charge last week, breezing past Highlands 44-0.
Their wins bumped Wheatland to 1-0 and Lindhurst to 1-0-1. With both Wheatland and Lindhurst swaggering in after impressive performances, it will be interesting to see which team steps up to teach the other some humility.
