South Rowan has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Carson Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Carson took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on South Rowan, who comes in off a win.
South Rowan never got on the board in their matchup two weeks ago, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against East Rowan last Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 32-13 victory over the Mustangs.
Landon Richards had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 288 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Richards was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 54 yards.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought contest, but Carson had to settle for a 30-27 defeat against Central Cabarrus on Friday.
South Rowan's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Carson, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 3-6.
Things could have been worse for South Rowan, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 35-21 loss to Carson in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Will South Rowan have more luck at home instead of on the road?
