The Passaic County Tech Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bayonne Bees at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Passaic County Tech comes in on nine and Bayonne on three.
Passaic County Tech can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. They breezed by Eastside on the road to the tune of 30-0. Given Passaic County Tech's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 31st, while Eastside is ranked 164th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Bayonne earned a 37-26 win over North Bergen on Friday.
It was another big night for Rocky Rodriguez, who rushed for 182 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. Rodriguez was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 62 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Leo Lin, who threw for 167 yards and two touchdowns.
Passaic County Tech's win was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 9-0. As for Bayonne, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
