The Gunnison Valley Bulldogs fell victim to the Beaver Beavers''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Beavers, falling 42-0. Having soared to a lofty 46 points in the game before, Gunnison Valley couldn't push the score so high this time.
When it comes to explaining why Gunnison Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Pearson Judy. Despite the final result, he rushed for 147 yards. Judy hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for four straight games.
Beaver's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tate Gale led the charge by rushing for 76 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Deegan Blackner also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Gunnison Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Beaver, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
Gunnison Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Beaver will square off against Kanab at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Kanab is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
