If the Turkey Valley Trojans were feeling good off their 56-17 takedown of the West Central Blue Devils last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Turkey Valley fell 48-40 to Spring Grove on Thursday.
Spring Grove found their leader in underclassman Kinley Soiney, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. Soiney has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Emerson Ingvalson, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Turkey Valley dropped their record down to 6-10 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Spring Grove, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 15-2.
Turkey Valley will head out on the road to square off against Central at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Spring Grove, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Schaeffer Academy at 7:15 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully Schaeffer Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Tuesday.
