Softball Recap: Legion Collegiate Academy's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Legion Collegiate Academy had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with an 11-7 win over the Lugoff-Elgin Demons on Saturday. With that victory, the Lancers brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Liliana Galloway was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. Those hits were her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Cornwell, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Legion Collegiate Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .708. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Legion Collegiate Academy now has a winning record of 5-4-1. As for Lugoff-Elgin, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Legion Collegiate Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 13-5 win against Palmetto on the 15th. As for Lugoff-Elgin, they will head out to challenge Sumter at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lugoff-Elgin has given up an average of 9.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
