St. James Academy waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Turner Golden Bears. The two-run effort marked the Thunder's lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

St. James Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Turner, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Coincidentally, St. James Academy and Turner will both be playing Basehor-Linwood the next time they take the field. The Thunder will host the Bobcats on Saturday, while the Golden Bears will head out to face them on Thursday.
