Round Valley came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Joseph City, but Cort Miller wouldn't allow it. The Wildcats walked away with a 59-51 win over the Elks on Friday with plenty of help from Miller, who almost dropped a double-double with 26 points and nine rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game.

Another player making a difference was Jaxon Arnell, who posted nine points along with six assists and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 11 games he's played.

When it comes to explaining why Round Valley lost, don't look at Brennan Brown. Despite the final result, he went 10-for-15 on his way to 23 points and seven boards. Marcus Mortensen was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds.

Joseph City's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-4. As for Round Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Joseph City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 55-41 defeat against Morenci on the 12th. As for Round Valley, they have also already played their next matchup, a 57-38 win against Blue Ridge on the 12th.
