The Jurupa Hills Spartans will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Charter Oak Chargers at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
With a playoff game on the line, Jurupa Hills rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 31-21 victory over the Warriors.
Caleb Ruiz looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 170 yards and two touchdowns, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground.
Meanwhile, Charter Oak made easy work of Highland on Friday and carried off a 42-16 win. With Charter Oak ahead 35-0 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Charter Oak found their leader in underclassman Corin Berry, who threw for 218 yards and three touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Their wins bumped Jurupa Hills to 7-6 and St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy to 5-6.
