Southern came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Federal Hocking Lancers with a sharp 19-3 victory. The Tornadoes have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lancers, too.

Southern's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Federal Hocking, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, Southern will face off against Ravenswood at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
