The Soroco Rams scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top against North Park by a score of 57-45. Soroco didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this victory makes it their second in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Soroco to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mary Adrian, who scored nine points along with three steals. It was the first time this season that Adrian grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Rachelle Dudley, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Despite the loss, North Park still got an impressive performance from Dezirae Gonzales, who almost dropped a double-double on 29 points and nine rebounds. That was a full 64.4% of North Park's points, marking the tenth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Josie Arzola, who scored two points along with ten rebounds.
Even though they lost, North Park smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Soroco's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for North Park, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Soroco will head out on the road to challenge the Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. West Grand is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games. As for North Park, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Dragons at 12:00 p.m. Hopefully De Beque focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Wednesday.
