A well-balanced attack led the Galena Pirates over the South Beloit Sobos in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Galena blew past South Beloit 71-47. Winning may never get old, but Galena sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Leading Galena to victory were Kaden Hauber and Connor Glasgow. Hauber scored 25 points, while Glasgow almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hauber has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Drew Keonigs, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Galena's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 18-10. As for South Beloit, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-6.
Galena will head out on the road to take on Warren at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Beloit, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against North Boone at 7:30 p.m. North Boone will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 611th, while South Beloit is ranked 263rd).
