The Hawkins Hawks will take on the Fruitvale Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Hawkins took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Martins Mill 7-6. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Hawks as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Caleigh Frazier spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Keiper Pruitt was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Cassie Bivens, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Hawkins kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 5-2 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Fruitvale got themselves on the board against Cumby on Friday, but Cumby never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Trojans.
Kyla Bain made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Bain was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Fruitvale let Rhylea Partin and Shelby Dry run wild. Partin went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base, while Dry went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Dry has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Xandria Smith, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.
Fruitvale's win bumped their record up to 13-19. As for Hawkins, their victory bumped their record up to 7-24.
Fruitvale's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Hawkins hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .319. It's a different story for Fruitvale, though, as they've only averaged .251. Will they be able to contain Hawkins' hitters?
Everything went Hawkins' way against Fruitvale in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as Hawkins made off with a 10-2 win. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
