Sanger has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.17 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They came up short against the Celina Bobcats, falling 12-3. The Indians' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Dalilah Millan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles. Lily Wilson also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Sanger's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 14-6-3. As for Celina, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-16.

Looking ahead, Sanger will challenge Van Alstyne at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Indians 3.2, the Panthers 1.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Celina does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
