C2 District 4 recap November 5, 2013
Archbishop Bergan extended the longest winning streak in C2 District 4 this week by beating Weeping Water, 48-0. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Archbishop Bergan took down the Indians 48-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Colton Brdicko ran for 115 yards in the win.
Tekamah-Herman's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jason Hansen threw for 108 and 1 touchdown and Dash Cameron had 61 yards receiving. On the ground Derek Method contributed 195 yards. Mark Heaney helped Tekamah-Herman's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 24 yards.
Method provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Tigers bested Louisville. Method's key target this week was Cameron, who caught 3 passes for 61 yards.
Method was the best running back in the league this week. In 46 carries, he ran for 195 yards as Tekamah-Herman bested the Lions. Teammate Cameron added to the ground attack by rushing for 75 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Scott Guzinski's team's Hansen and Cameron have proven to be a lethal combination. Hansen has thrown for 1,557 yards this season, while Cameron has 47 catches for 730 yards. Brdicko from Seth Mruz's team leads the league in rushing with 1,294 yards.
The Tigers' Method needs only 20 yards against Malcolm next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Method has rushed for 980 yards on 179 carries so far this year.
The Knights led C2 District 4 in scoring this week by notching 48 points on Weeping Water. Brdicko ran for 115 yards during the win.
