Thousand Islands had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They had just enough and edged out the South Jefferson Spartans 6-5. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered a 7-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Coming up, Thousand Islands will be playing at home against South Lewis at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South Jefferson, they will face off against Sacred Heart Academy at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday.
