Baseball Recap: General Mclane Extends Winning Streak to Six

General McLane had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Fort LeBoeuf on Thursday. The Lancers put the hurt on the Bison with a sharp 12-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Lancers, who have now won seven contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Alex Clark, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Charlie Salvo, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one run.

General McLane always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .611. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory was the sixth in a row for General McLane, bringing their record up to 11-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Fort LeBoeuf, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
