Two dominant  guards in  Blake Chandler and  Jordan Davis are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Clifton Central Comets will head out on the road to  take on  the St. Anne Cardinals at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Hopefully Clifton Central focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 12 on Wednesday.
 Clifton Central fought the good fight in their overtime  matchup against Herscher  but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a   71-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The  defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Clifton Central in their matchups with Herscher: they've now lost four in a row.
 Chandler put forth a good effort for the losing side as  he  scored 30 points along with three  steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was  Aidan Podowicz, who  scored 12 points along with seven  assists and two  steals.
 Meanwhile, St. Anne came up short against Westmont on Wednesday and fell  52-43.
 Clifton Central's loss dropped their record down to 17-10. As for St. Anne, their loss  ended  a  five-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 14-12.
 Clifton Central couldn't quite finish off St. Anne when the teams last played  back in December of 2023 and fell  48-46. Can Clifton Central avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
