The Lake Washington Kangaroos''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 21-6 bruising from Liberty. Despite 84 more yards than Liberty, Lake Washington couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
Anatol Deressa threw for 151 yards and a touchdown while completing 87.5% of his passes. Jayce Yeung was his top target, picking up 82 receiving yards. On the ground, Ronin Holmes rushed for 35 yards.
Lake Washington's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Liberty, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Lake Washington will head out on the road to face off against Lakeside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lakeside comes in on a streak of failing to score more than nine points in their last six games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Liberty, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mt. Rainier at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mt. Rainier will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 228th, while Liberty is ranked 87th).
