The trio had averaged 53.1, 57.5, and 60 minutes respectively before Saturday's   contest. The pair took full advantage of the opportunity:  Backus  put uptwo  assists, while  she  put up an  assist.
 Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better  (just ask Elko). Everything went their way against North Tahoe last Saturday as Elko made off with  a  4-1 victory. The  win was some much needed relief for the Indians as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
 The  victory  got Lowry back to even at 4-4. As for Elko, their  win (their first of the  season) made their record 1-5.
 Lowry skirted past Elko  3-2 in their previous meeting  back in October of 2023. Does  Lowry have another victory up their sleeve, or will Elko turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
