In what's become a running theme this season, the Grafton Clippers gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They blew past Tabb 69-41 on the road. The victory was familiar territory for Grafton who now have seven in a row.
Grafton was led to victory by Alonni Wells and Taylor Ragland. Wells scored 22 points along with eight assists and six steals, while Ragland dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Ragland is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Wilson, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Grafton pushed their record up to 14-1 with that victory, which was their ninth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for Tabb, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grafton will face off against New Kent at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. New Kent will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 281st, while Grafton is ranked 51st). As for Tabb, they will head out on the road to challenge Bruton at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
