DuVal is 8-2 against Bladensburg since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The DuVal Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Bladensburg Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for DuVal on the road against Northwestern as the team secured a 84-40 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 47-22.
DuVal can attribute much of their success to Amani Lett, who scored 15 points along with nine assists and six rebounds, and Daniel Nwaete, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher Mudd, who scored eight points along with five assists.
Meanwhile, Bladensburg beat Parkdale 55-42 on Thursday.
DuVal's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Bladensburg, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Everything came up roses for DuVal against Bladensburg in their previous matchup back in February as the squad secured a 65-34 victory. Will DuVal repeat their success, or does Bladensburg have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
