Shadow Ridge had a rough outing against Palo Verde last Friday, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Shadow Ridge steamrollered Bonanza 48-7. The high-flying offensive effort was a definite turnaround from Shadow Ridge's flat performance the contest before.
Shadow Ridge got off to a slow start in their game last week, but they had no such trouble against Bonanza and cruised to a 35-point first half. Meanwhile, Bonanza couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 35-0 heading into the break. The Shadow Ridge defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the matchup. The match pushed Bonanza down to 2-5 and pulled Shadow Ridge up to the reverse at 5-2.
Next week Shadow Ridge take on Centennial at 7:00 PM. Centennial took a loss in their last contest and are no doubt out to reverse Shadow Ridge's good fortune. Bonanza will take on Cimarron-Memorial at home at 7:00 PM in two weeks. Bonanza have seen their point totals decreasing over the past four games, a vulnerability Cimarron-Memorial are surely hoping to exploit.
