Willowbrook came out on top against Proviso East  on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run seventh inning. The Warriors were the clear victors by  a  12-2 margin over the Pirates. Willowbrook got a great performance from  Bobby Biggs as he  struck out seven batters over  5.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits. That's the most  strikeouts  Biggs has posted  over his last four  contests.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Max Wilkison, who  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in March.  Sam Marrese was another key player,  going 2-for-5 with three  RBI.
Willowbrook pushed their record up to 16-6 with the  win, which was their third straight  on the road. The  road  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Proviso East,  they are  on  a  14-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-16.
 Looking ahead, Willowbrook will challenge Saint Ignatius College Prep at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Proviso East will be paying especially close attention to the Warriors'  matchup: after the Warriors face off against the Wolfpack, they'll take on Proviso East again  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
