Neville has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Peabody Warhorses at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Neville made easy work of the Cougars and carried off a 68-43 victory. Given Neville's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while the Cougars are ranked 302nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Peabody earned a 54-47 victory over the Patriots on Monday. The win was just what Peabody needed coming off of a 86-57 defeat in their prior match.
Peabody's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rashad Mitchell, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Robert Garland was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with seven rebounds.
Neville's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-10. As for Peabody, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 19 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record this season.
Neville came up short against the Warhorses when the teams last played back in January, falling 59-55. Will Neville have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other basketball content.
