Softball Recap: Southeast Has No Trouble Against Newton Falls

Southeast won the last time they faced Newton Falls and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Pirates put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 12-2 victory. Considering the Pirates have won five contests by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Morgan Muncy, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Lylia Lavigna was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Southeast will take on Liberty at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Newton Falls, they will challenge Crestview at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers are facing the Rebels at the right time seeing as the Rebels are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
