The W D Mohammed Caliphs had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took their contest at home on Saturday with ease, bagging a 75-20 win over Cross Keys. The win was just what W D Mohammed needed coming off of a 71-39 loss in their prior game.
Despite the defeat, Cross Keys had strong showings from Geronimo Edwards, who scored 7 points, and Christian Holmes, who scored 7 points. Holmes scored a full 35% of Cross Keys' points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
W D Mohammed's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Cross Keys, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
W D Mohammed will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Carver at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th. As for Cross Keys, they will head out on the road to face off against Lakeside at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakeside presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Cross Keys in Georgia (Lakeside is ranked 127th, while Cross Keys is ranked 455th).
