The St. Helens Lions came into Tuesday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Tillamook by a score of 58-49 on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for St. Helens, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Tillamook saw an underclassman step up: Vivian Vogel scored 29 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Vogel has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatum Lancaster, who scored 11 points along with two blocks.
St. Helens' victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-10. As for Tillamook, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.
St. Helens will head out on the road to take on the Fishermen at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Astoria will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak. As for Tillamook, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Seagulls at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Seaside presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Cheesemakers in Oregon (the Seagulls are ranked 37th, while the Cheesemakers are ranked 130th).
