The Penns Manor Comets lost against the Williamsburg Blue Pirates back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Penns Manor took a 54-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Williamsburg.
Several Comets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Carter Smith, who scored 19 points. Smith scored a full 38% of Penns Manor's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Alex Polenik, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds.
Penns Manor's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Williamsburg, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
Penns Manor won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Purchase Line at 7:15 p.m. on December 19th. Purchase Line is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Williamsburg is on the road again on Thursday and play against Moshannon Valley at 7:15 p.m. on December 21st.
