The North Davidson Black Knights fell victim to the Robinson Bulldogs''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Bulldogs 42-0. While losing is never fun, North Davidson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 183rd, while Robinson is ranked 47th).
Na'ledge Wright was his usual excellent self, rushing for 240 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 15.0 yards per carry. Xavier Burnett also helped out with an impressive 110 receiving yards.
North Davidson's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-8. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Robinson, Ledford, and Oak Grove. As for Robinson, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
North Davidson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Robinson will be playing at home against Northwest Cabarrus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northwest Cabarrus is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
