Jefferson fell 50-38 to Alamo Heights on Tuesday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Jefferson in their matchups with Alamo Heights: they've now lost five in a row.
Alamo Heights found their leader in underclassman Alex Elliott, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Elliott has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayes Waddy, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Jefferson's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-15. As for Alamo Heights, they pushed their record up to 23-3 with that victory, which was their 20th straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson will face off against Highlands at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Alamo Heights, they will head out on the road to take on Lanier at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Lanier will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 813th, while Alamo Heights is ranked 123rd).
