It's playoff time, and Chesterton had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Portage Indians with a sharp  8-4 win on Saturday. The result was nothing new for Chesterton, who have now won 11 contests by three  goals or more  so far this season.
Their offense was hitting Portage from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal.  Adey Avey led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.
Chesterton has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record  this season. As for Portage, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
 Chesterton has already played their next matchup,  a  1-0  defeat against Crown Point on the 16th. Portage does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
