The Schlarman Hilltoppers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Salt Fork, falling 64-9. While losing is never fun, Schlarman can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 691st, while Salt Fork is ranked 187th).
Izzy Bogen was Schlarman's leading scorer, having posted five points.
Layla Briggs held things down on the boards with four rebounds.
Schlarman dropped their record down to 1-14 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Salt Fork, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-5.
Schlarman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Salt Fork also has no future games currently scheduled.
