The Camden Military Spartans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. The match between them and Wilson Hall wasn't particularly close, with Camden Military falling 63-46. Camden Military has not had much luck with the Barons recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Daniel Burton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Wilson Hall, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Burton hasn't dropped below two blocks for 11 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Shawn michael Matthews, who scored 11 points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Camden Military's loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Wilson Hall, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Camden Military will challenge the Barons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Wilson Hall is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Spartans in South Carolina (the Barons are ranked 75th, while the Spartans are ranked 273rd). As for Wilson Hall, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st. Cardinal Newman will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
