Baseball Recap: Palmyra-Eagle Has No Trouble Against Williams Bay

Palmyra-Eagle got themselves on the board against Williams Bay on Thursday, but Williams Bay never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 12-0 victory. Considering the Panthers have won 13 matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Devin Patrick, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. D Walsh was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Palmyra-Eagle always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Williams Bay only posted an OBP of .118.

Palmyra-Eagle is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Williams Bay, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-15 record this season.

Palmyra-Eagle will welcome Johnson Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Bluejays have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matches. Williams Bay does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
