The Hephzibah Rebels suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. Their tough 75-49 loss to Salem might stick with them for a while. Hephzibah was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Salem apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played on January 5th.
Despite the loss, Hephzibah still got an impressive performance from Traeon Brown, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. Brown has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Nate Cogle was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds.
Hephzibah has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season. As for Salem, they pushed their record up to 12-9 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.
Hephzibah will take on Harlem at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Harlem focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday. As for Salem, they will head out on the road to square off against Morgan County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Morgan County is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
