The Franklin Learning Center Bobcats were the 82-56 winner over Penn Treaty when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Franklin Learning Center took a serious blow against Penn Treaty on Tuesday, falling 64-34. Franklin Learning Center was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-14.
Despite the defeat, Franklin Learning Center saw an underclassman step up: Kadeem Martin dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Penn Treaty was led to victory by Heavon Washington and Keyon Davis. Washington scored 16 points, while Davis scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Nadir Hall, who scored 9 points.
Franklin Learning Center's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Penn Treaty, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin Learning Center will face off against Nueva Esperanza at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Penn Treaty, they will head out on the road to face off against Mastery Charter South co-op [Mastery Charter Lenfest/Mastery Charter Thomas] at 3:15 a.m. on Thursday.
