It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Ponte Vedra Sharks had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They snuck past the Knights with a 79-73 win. Winning may never get old, but Ponte Vedra sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Ponte Vedra got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was David Sanchez Barrera out in front who scored 20 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sanchez Barrera has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Sam Ritchie, who scored 19 points along with two steals.
Ponte Vedra is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. As for Oakleaf, their loss dropped their record down to 19-6.
Ponte Vedra does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Oakleaf also has no future games currently scheduled.
