It was a good run, but the Milton Panthers unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 60-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rickards.
Milton lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mateo Robinson, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three blocks. Sergio Robinson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Randall Pompey was his usual excellent self, scoring 16 points for Rickards. Another player making a difference was Romie Cosby, who scored 14 points.
Milton's loss ended a eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-3. As for Rickards, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
Milton will be playing at home against Pensacola at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pensacola is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Rickards, they will head out on the road to square off against Florida State University High School at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Florida State University High School's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine games.
