Robertsdale's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Shaunte Sanders, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, and Mallorie Rothe who scored 13 points. Sanders has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played.
St. Michael Catholic's defeat ended a eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-3. As for Robertsdale, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-10.
Everything came up roses for St. Michael Catholic against Robertsdale when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 53-25 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Michael Catholic since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
