Shipley lost against Germantown Friends back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Shipley took a 54-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Germantown Friends.
Henry Rassmussen and Will Littles, Jr certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Rassmussen dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Littles, Jr scored 15 points along with two steals. That's the first time this season that Rassmussen pulled down eight or more rebounds.
Shipley bumped their record down to 3-9 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Germantown Friends, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-7.
Shipley will head out on the road to take on Friends' Central at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Germantown Friends, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Abington Friends at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Abington Friends knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Germantown Friends likes a good challenge.
