Basketball Recap: Make It Seven in a Row for Terra Ceia Christian

Terra Ceia Christian had won six straight games and Ryan Ange did his part to make it seven on Tuesday. The Terra Ceia Christian Knights took down Ahoskie Christian 73-54 thanks in part to Ange, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 24 boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds.

Another player making a difference was Seth Meijer, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 17 rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted three or more in the last six games he's played.

Despite the defeat, Ahoskie Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jaelen Rascoe posted 18 points in addition to seven boards and six steals. Another player making a difference was Tyler Martin, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 15 points.

Terra Ceia Christian pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Ahoskie Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

Coincidentally, Terra Ceia Christian and Ahoskie Christian will both be playing Fellowship Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Ahoskie Christian will host Fellowship Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Terra Ceia Christian will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
