Frankton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brady Carmack led the charge by scoring 18 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Joey Wright, who scored 18 points along with 6 assists.
When it comes to explaining why Lapel lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bode Judge. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points along with 7 rebounds. Judge scored a full 39.7% of Lapel's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Witte, who scored 5 points along with 7 assists.
The victory makes it two in a row for Frankton and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Lapel, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frankton will square off against Muncie Burris at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lapel, they will head out on the road to face off against Pendleton Heights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
