It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but St. John Lutheran ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They blew past the Bronson Eagles 9-3. The Saints might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

Luis Roman was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. He also brought in three RBI, which is notable because St. John Lutheran is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 6-7 otherwise. Adam Stillwell was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.

Roman wasn't the only one working in the hit department: St. John Lutheran kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bronson only managed three hits.

St. John Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Bronson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

St. John Lutheran will welcome Riverside Christian on Friday. Riverside Christian has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.17 runs per game on average), something St. John Lutheran will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Bronson, they will head out to challenge Saint Francis Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bronson's pitchers better be ready for this one: Saint Francis Catholic has averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season.
