Owensboro Catholic is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Greenwood a three-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Owensboro Catholic Aces will be playing at home against the Greenwood Gators at 5:30 p.m. The last four games Owensboro Catholic has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
On Wednesday, Owensboro Catholic needed a bit of extra time to put away Breckinridge County. They skirted past the Fighting Tigers 4-2. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.
Jaxson White was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Lane Hundley
In other pitching news, Lane Hundley tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Owensboro Catholic is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 1-3 otherwise.
White wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Tucker Evans, who scored a run while going 1-for-1. Christopher Burns also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Greenwood and Franklin-Simpson, and Greenwood kept the tradition alive. Greenwood walked away with a 6-1 win over Franklin-Simpson on Tuesday.
With the victory, Owensboro Catholic broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4. As for Greenwood, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.
