Daphne waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Bryant Hurricanes 39-0. That looming 39-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Trojans yet this season.

Daphne's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jamir Alcius led the charge by rushing for 82 yards and one TD. Those 82 rushing yards gave Alcius a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Segar, who threw for 100 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Daphne was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 269 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Daphne didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as AJ Blakney, Stevie Allen, Brandon Baker, and Jaiden Lee picked up one apiece. Edrick Mryon Williams was another major factor on D, making nine total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Daphne's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Bryant, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.
