Pomeroy had won three straight games and Kyzer Herres did his part to make it four on Friday. The Pirates enjoyed a cozy 32-18 win over the Garfield-Palouse Vikings with plenty of help from Herres, who rushed for 215 yards and two TDs on only 15 carries, and also picked up 33 receiving yards and one touchdown. His longest rush was for an incredible 97 yards.

Pomeroy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Rory McKeirnan, Herres, and Wyatt Huwe picked up one apiece. Herres got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Pomeroy's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Garfield-Palouse, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Pomeroy will challenge St. John-Endicott at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 48 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Garfield-Palouse, they will take on Dayton at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
