Carver had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Whitewater Wildcats with a sharp 51-25 victory on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their 14th in a row dating back to last season.
Whitewater's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Case Roberts, who rushed for 66 yards and one TD on only six carries.
Coming up, Carver will challenge Spencer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Whitewater, they will face off against Starr's Mill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
