The Pisgah Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Oak Grove Grizzlies at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Pisgah comes in on three and Oak Grove on nine.
With a playoff game on the line, Pisgah rose to the challenge on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 35-17 win over North Henderson.
Meanwhile, Oak Grove can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They blew past Ashbrook 34-0 at home. Given Oak Grove's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Ashbrook is ranked 165th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Connor Creech and Karson Williams were among the main playmakers for Oak Grove as the former rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown and the latter gained 129 total yards and three touchdowns. Landon Craddock got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Their wins bumped Pisgah to 9-2 and Oak Grove to 10-1.
